European Youngster Cup U25 2009 |

The European
Youngster Cup / Young Masters League U25
2009:
The European Youngster Cup U25 YML is
the top series in European
showjumping.In a total of 16 legs, up
and coming showjumping stars from
Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland
compete with each other, in 1.40 and
1.45 classes, for money and ranking list
points to qualify for the Finals to be
held at Frankfurt.
The European Youngster Cup U25 is a
series that has been making headlines
for quite some time and is considered a
preparation stage on the way to becoming
a squad member.

Tension and Good Mood at the German
Youth Championships in Munich-Riem |

Plenty of good mood, sunshine
but also hard fights for the
medals, at the German Youth
Championships in Munich-Riem,
were the dominating factors this
past weekend. Some of the
favorites from Bavaria were
simply unlucky. Bavarian Champion
Max Schmid, for instance, and
also Lawrence Greene, rode
excellently but had pure bad
luck in the course, resulting in
some faults and hence the loss
of the chance for a medal.
However, Denise Sulz, one of the
EYCup riders, was able to hold
her own in the Young Riders/Jumping
category: she ended up with the
silver medal as reward for her
excellent performance. Among
those watching as she received
her medal, incidentally, was
also a famous horse-fan: Monika
Hohlmeier had personally come to
Riem to witness the event!

The winner of
the preliminary qualifier of the European
Youngster Cup
Emanuele Gaudiano (ITA) has also won the
jumping over 1,40m on saturday with his
horse Chicago. Second place went to
Carina Hindelang with Promi Model. Third
Maximilian Schmid and Cuckoo.

in the European Youngster Cup |
It's time for a
half-time interim evaluation for the
European Youngster Cup. Eight
qualification rounds are already through,
a further eight will follow over the
next months. A total of 220 riders from
25 nations had come to compete in these
qualifiers and fight for the ticket to
Frankfurt.

Matas Petraitis from
Lithuania, in the saddle of
Bolero, has won the preliminary
qualifier over 1,35m in
Lamprechtshausen. Second place
for Andrina Schmitz
(SUI) and Magic Lady
followed by Anastasia Sablina
from Russland riding King
Creole.

Oppermann wins S** (1,45m) qualification of the EYCup on Sonntag |
The qualification over 1,45m for the
EYCup finale in Frankfurt took place on sunday morning in Munich.
Jörg Oppermann (GER)has won this competition with Che Guevara.
Second place for
Maximilian Schmid (GER) and Cuckoo, followed by
Angelica Augustsson (SWE) in the saddle of Giovanni.

The competition over 1,40m of the
European Youngster Cup U25 in Munich has been won by
Wolfang Puschak (GER) in the saddle of Uchiel. Second place for
Angelica Augustsson (SWE) with Giovanni, followed by
Maximilian Ziegler (GER) and Leticia on third place.

In the saddle of
Cuckoo,
Maximilian Schmid (GER) rode to victory in the preliminary
qualifier of the European Youngster Cup U25 in Municht. Second Place
went to
Daniel Lahmann (GER) with George Clooney, followed by
Gerrit Schepers (GER) on Rubin Ramazotti.

the EYCup Riders at the Munich International Horse Show |
|
With plenty of
sunshine and good mood, the Munich International Horse Show launched
today at Munich-Riem. The EYCup Riders were able to hold out against
stiff competition. In the CSI*** 1.45 class they were up against
stiff competition. The class was won by Hugo Simon.
Alexander Hufenstuhl placed 3rd on Chamby and
Janika Sprunger followed in 4th place with Salvador.

Never before has
this happened in the history of the European
Youngster Cup: Young Swiss rider
Annina Züger raced like wildfire across
the select course of the EYCup Young Rider
Grand Prix: as the first of nine riders who
had qualified, she delivered a time of 44.30
seconds that could not be matched on her
horse Madameke and then achieved the second
best time in the saddle of her second horse
in the finals, Liberte Courcelle.
